OPERATION ACCOUNTANT.
Kulczyk Oil Ventures lnc.,through its subsidiary companies owns a significant interest in Block L located mostly onshore Brunei and is the operator of Block L. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior level accountant with experience in oil and gas exploration and production accounting.

We are looking for a senior accountant who has several years Joint Venture Accounting experience, can work alone/with others and has a “hands on” approach. It will be expected that the successful candidate is a person that will “own” the position and one that has been successful in a similar position in the past. The successful candidate must be fluent in English, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities: • Manage all aspects of accounting and finance in Brunei from payables to reporting, including oversight of internal controls and banking;
• Manage the reporting for actual costs against budgets and AFE’s for all Brunei activities;
• Ensure the company complies with all operated accountiiTg requirements in accordance with relevant operating agreements, including PSA and Joint Operating Agreement, including the Accounting Procedure attached to the Joint Operating Agreement;
• Complete all statutory and joint venture accounting and reporting; -
• Liaise with partners and Petroleum Brunei on
• Manage the budget and AFE preparation;
• Complete financial planning and management accounting activities for the Brunei office; Provide a forecasting function for cash and expenditures;
• Manage treasury, accounts payable and tax compliance;
• Prepare and complete payroll, including additional benefits/obligations and maintain all necessary records and filings;
• Control the petty cash function;
• Promote and monitor compliance with internal controls, ensure security of financial systems and assets as well as ensure integrity of data;
• Work with operational staff to ensure cost control systems are in place for field operations (i.e. drilling and seismic);
• Assist the Country Manager as reqUired.

The successful candidate will report to both the Country Manager in Brunei and the Director of Finance, based in Calgary.
